Styrkir til doktorsnáms í Kanada
Kanadísk stjórnvöld auglýstu nýverið nýja styrki fyrir doktorsnema undir yfirskriftinni Canada Global Impact+ Research Talent Initiative. Styrkjunum er ætlað að laða fleira vísindafólk til Kanada.

- The Canada Impact+ Research Chairs competition. This funding opportunity will enable universities and research hospitals to attract exceptional researchers from abroad, supporting up to 100 Research Chairs, who will each receive either $8 million or $4 million over eight years, including a potential four-year extension at 50% of the initial award value.
- The Canada Impact+ Emerging Leaders program. This initiative will enable universities and research hospitals to recruit and support up to 100 internationally based early career researchers, who will each receive $100,000 per year for six years, with a potential continuation of funding for an additional six years at $100,000 per year.

- The Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards. These opportunities will allow Canadian universities to offer 600 doctoral scholarships ($40,000 per year for three years) and 400 postdoctoral research awards ($70,000 per year for two years) for outstanding international or Canadian candidates currently studying or working abroad.

Through the Canada Impact+ Research Infrastructure Fund, the Canada Foundation for Innovation will invest up to $400 million to support the infrastructure needs of the chairholders, and if applicable, early career researchers under the Impact+ Emerging Leaders awards, to ensure the recruited Impact+ Research Chairs have the world-class environments they need to conduct cutting-edge research.
